September 20 , 2006Site Council Composition Introductions were made. There are three members from 6th grade team, two members from 7th grade team and one member from 8th grade team. There two parents, one classified member and one administrator. Approved Minutes from last meeting believed to be May 3rd, 2006 Group Agreements were approved (again) from October 19th, 2005. One typo on the last page will be fixed. EEF Proposals were turned in by Zola/Pat asking for an Interactive whiteboard/Smart board to be used by the math department. The total amount is $1867 and will be submitted for the $2000 or less grant. Peggy Quinn is asking for $500 to take all 6th graders to the Egyptian Display in Portland. Brian is also asking for $500 for the same reason. Meeting Dates/Work Groups were already agreed upon when the Group agreements were approved. See number 11 on the last page. "The site council will meet twice each month on the first and third Wednesdays from 3:30-5 p.m. in the library....The 1st Wednesday will be a general session. The 3rd Wednesday may be a work session...." Staff Development Funds will be clarified by Rick at the October 5th staff meeting. Literacy Plan Update determined that the plan is new and no changes are proposed at this time. Staff will continue to discuss and assess the results over time. School Improvement Plan Update resulted in no changes being made. The Literacy plan is part of the School Improvement plan, but is more comprehensive.
